I offer a free initial consultation to explain the Florida divorce process and discuss your case.
Contested and Uncontested Divorce
Divorce in Florida is stressful. It can take anywhere from a few months to a year or longer, depending on whether your divorce is uncontested or contested. As your lawyer, I won't prolong your case − and spend thousands of dollars − filing needless motions that will not help you resolve your issues.
Divorce can be settled by agreement, mediation, or by a trial before a family law judge. Depending on what county you live in, you may need to go to mediation before you can have a court trial. Mediation will give you an opportunity to negotiate a divorce settlement before you let a judge decide your issues.
